LEGION

One of my friends, Angie, kept telling me about this movie. She thought that the plot of this movie was great. It was about fallen Angel, Michael who want to save the world by protecting him from the other angels. It was like "the second Jesus" came to the world to save the human race. The background situation of the movie was also like when When God loses faith in humankind, he sends his legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse. God sent "flood" to clean the world in Nuh legend. But, instead of flood,in this movie God sent the angels to possed human and give them order to kill the child. And so on..

I found this movie is REALLY boring.
I even fell asleep in the middle of the movie. Haha. And what embrassed me, that Willy looked up and KNEW that I was sleeping. Haha. I watched this movie with bunch of my friends, like Anne and Willy, Tony, Aldo, Danny, Gian, Vivi, Edu, Wahyu and Ditya. Not forget to mention the last couple, Angie and Giov who sat different row with us. Haha.

But, the more I think about this movie the more I want to laugh, remember about there was a grandma came to the saloon and then bite one of the man. And she also suddenly jumped to the ceiling. OMG. It was so weird and freakie.. It was also disgusting. yeikss.. And there was also a scene when they were expecting an enemy (like the grandma) but what came to them was a ice cream car with the funny sound. And than the car stopped in front of the saloon, then came out the weird looking man whose legs and hands suddenly became longer. And he jumped like a spider. Haha.. It was really funny. After that scene, I became sleepy and couldn't keep my eyes open. So I fell asleep. Beside, the angels were not handsome!! The more reason why I could sleep easily. Haha.

But, I recognized the characters. Especially Paul Bettany who played as Angel Michael. He also played as Silas at Da Vinci Code and Dustfinger at Inkheart. The face was really easy to memorize. Also the color of his hair! And the other character was Lucas Black who played as Jeep Hanson. He played as Sean Boswell at The Fast and The Furious : Tokyo Drift.

I got this book when there was a discount "party" at periplus. And this book catched my eyes. The title was unusual.It made me curious what this book was about.. I also like the cover. It's a man with a wing. It seems like a fallen angels. And the fact that he is half nude (meaning : topless). Hehe. And then, I write the review of the book. It's a story between girl (human) and a boy (a fallen angel / a guardian angel). I think it's worth to try a new author. ^^

The Story :

For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

This book is quite refreshing. Even though the plot of the story is quite predictable, I like the way of the author's writing. I also like the characters, especially the main characters, Nora and Patch when they were together (in class!!).

ONIGIRI

Today is a holiday!! Yipee.. It's really so refreshing! Since I got much time, I wanna learn how to make an onigiri. First, I learned it from Maria, my Best friend. She made it once for me and some of her friends. It's really delicious. So, today I make it myself. (with my maid's help, of course)

The recipe :

INGREDIENTS :

steam rice
salt (for taste)
dried nori (seaweed)
for fillings : tuna and corned beef

PREPERATION :

Cook steamed rice. Put about a half cup of steamed rice in a rice bowl.
Make a dent in the center of the rice and place fillings, such as tuna and corned beef.
Wet your hands in water so that the rice won't stick. Rub some salt on your hands. Place the rice in the rice bowl on your hands. Form the rice into a round or a triangle, by pressing lightly with your both palms.
Wrap the rice ball with a strip of nori.
You can also wrap the rice ball with egg
Serve it!

I got this novel for my birthday gift from my cousin ( who is living in Singapore now). It's very nice of him that he still remember how crazy and addicted I am about book. This book is written by Nicholas Sparks. It's all about romance, so I don't think it's a book for a boy.. What I love the most about Nicholas Spark is the expression of love which is shown in the way of the characters solve their problem, spend most of the time together. All the characters seem so NICE!! especially the boy to show their love to the girl (or man to the woman). I might add the fact that I'm a female so I interested in boy, not the girl. ^^
Btw, this novel is gong to be made as a movie in 2010!! It's April 2nd. OMG. I'm so excited!!

The other book of Nicholas Sparks which I already read is Nights in Rodanthe. I borrowed it from Pauline. There is also the movie based on this novel, with the same title. I watched it in Blitz Megaplex a long time ago, with Maria and Adi (if I'm not mistaken).
There are some of the movie based on the novels, such as : The Notebook, A walk to remember, Message in the Bottle.

FYI : There is also a movie made based on one of the novels which is going to played in Cinema. The movie is Dear John. Which is played by CHANNING TATUM (Step Up 2) and Amanda Seyfreid (Mammamia). It released this February 5th. I have to watch it!!

THE SPY NEXT DOOR

I actually have already watched this movie a week ago, but this week is really like the busiest time!! So I got no time to post it. I watched it with some of my friends. Anne & Willy, CK, and Edu. We came late because we had to do the TO so we missed the introduction of the movie. But it was a good thing that the fun part always in the middle of the movie! ^^
This movie is actually my mom's kind of movie. But I found myself really enjoy Jackie Chan's movie. It always interesting even though we know that he is not that young. I also love the fact that he did all the stunt scene by himself. That's his charm.

This movie is telling us about Former CIA spy Bob Ho (played by JackieChan) who takes on his toughest assignment to date: looking after his girlfriend's three kids, who haven't exactly warmed to their mom's beau. And when one of the youngsters accidentally downloads a top-secret formula, Bob's longtime nemesis, a Russian terrorist, pays a visit to the family. And the visit is where Bob have to show his talent.. Fighting. ^^

I really love the scene when Jackie Chan threw the little girl up in the air to make her wear her pants! and then he said, "Can your mom do that?" and the little girl just shake her head and smile.

I also love the scene where Bob Ho (aka Jackie Chan) fight with Larry, the russian boy. It's really interesting. And I feel bad for him coz he had to have the bad ending, which is his head on the TV. FYI : Larry is played by Lucas Till who also played as Travis Brody in Hannah Montana: The Movie. I kept saying that he is! but no one have watched the movie so they have no idea what I was talking about. T^T

THE COVENANT

This is one of many movies which I watch more than twice, or more than 3 times. You know why? There's no reason beside the fact that this movie is played by HANDSOME GUYS!! Wkwk.. For example : Chace Crawford. Of course you all know who he is. He is playing as Nate Achibald as Gossip Girl. And there is also Sebastian Stan who played as Carter Baizen at GG too.. ^^

Beside, I find this movie is quite interesting. Something about magic and "witch-thing". Usually witch is identical by scary old woman. With dirty and disgusting thing. But, when It is played by bunch of cutie and handome boys, is really worth to try (to watch it and enjoy it, I mean).

The synopsis of the movie :

When a new kid by the name of chase collins, tranfers into the elite Spencer Accademy, 4 boys get suspious. The four boys are what people call the sons of ipswitch. They were 4 of the origional 5 families to coloinize Ipswitch. The 5th, is said to have been killed during the Salem witch hunts. when the 4 boys, Caleb, Pogue, Reid and, Tyler, befriend Chase, weird things start to happen. It turns out that chase is a desentant of the 5th blood line, and "one of them". We find out

that the reason that Chase is here, it to get the other members of the covenant's powers. By having them "will it" to him. On Caleb's birthday,Caleb and Chase get into a fight to the death. Caleb ends up killing Chase (or so we think). Chase gets thrown into a fire and his body is never found, so the boys assume that he is dead, saving himself, the covenant, and all of their loved ones.

1. Caleb Danvers played by Steven Strait
