NEW LIFE @ CAMPUS!

It has been 3 months since I first became (officially) a college student. Why it took me so much time after that to post this?? It simply because I was busy. REALLY busy. haha. Beside, there was a problem with my internet connection so I can't post any entry for my blog. =="
HOWEVER, I'm really excited with my study now. It's really different from highschool. And ALL that I have to do now is the thing I love! Drawing.. Drawing n Drawing! A little lecture from the college teacher (lecturer). It's really makes me tired. Exhausted. BUT, I love doing it. So it didn't make me suffer. So, It's true that parents should not force their children to do something they don't like to. The result is usually bad. It is just waste of time! Remember it!

I'd like to tell you what I have learned @ my campus :

1. Studi Dasar Arsitektur (Basic Study Architecture)

This study's aim is to make us understand completly about "What is Architecture?" and part of it. I also learned about the elements of architecture, and blaa..blaa.. blaa.
This study started at 8 o'clock in the morning. There are two parts : Lecture and Discussion. First, the lecturer will give us some explanations about things and then we can discussed it in group then we can present it to others. This class ended at 12 o'clock (based on the schedule).

2. Studio Perancangan Arsitektur (STUPA)

This is the most important class in architecture. This class also hold 6 sks in a semester. SO, I have to do this really carefully and well. This class is also the hardest one. To do the task (which is given from the lecturer) I have to use my bedtime to do it. Because there is SOO much to do!
For example : Task 1. We have to go to Museum Nasional.

Take some photos. Learn the flow of human there, etc. Then we have to make (minimum) eight sketches in A3 size. We also have to give 500 words of description. Took some photos and then described it (each photos!). Make a diagram and schema. That's the minimum standart of What we have to do.. It's different from other group with a different assistant lecturer.
This class's schedule is from 8.00 till 17.00.. BUT, I do have so much FREE time. So, It was really fun. Beside, my lecturer for STUPA is the funniest one! Haha. I can't be bored when he gave us a lecture in our class. It was usually full of laughing and giggling. haha.

3. Sejarah Arsitektur (Architectural History)

It is simply about history and architectural culture. The simplest one and I can't really understand this. It's really hard for me to learn something like this. I don't know why. =="
This class is actually scheduled for 4 hours. From 8.00 till 12.00. BUT our lecturer is usually give us a lecture just for about 1 and half hours. Then, we can go home or go wherever we want. ^^

4. Teknologi Arsitektur (Technology Architecture)

All I have learned about this class is Proyeksi (Projection?). The one we learned at highschool. BUT, the difficult one. There are "tampak depan (front view), tampak samping (side view), tampak atas (up view) and potongan (cut / snippet?).
Schedule : 8.00 till 12.00

5. Komunikasi Arsitektur (Communication Architecture)

Perspective Drawing. Perfectionist Lecturer. That's what about this class. You have to make a perspective drawing and then scored by the perfectionist lecturer. It's easy to make a perspective drawing but it's really hard to make a good score from this lecturer. haha
Schedule : 13.00 till 17.00. OR I could stay till more than 18.00 to do the task. =="

IT'S REALLY FUN @ UNIVERSITY! hehe..

There are also funny coincidences and great experiences here:
1. I have a senior named, "Aurelia Arini". She has the same name n nickname. And our NIM (Nomor Induk Mahasiswa) is also the same!! What a coincidence! Her NIM is 315090132. And mine is 315100132. 315 is our code for department of architecture. 09/10 is the year. And the last 4 number is our number. The most important one.
She is really nice and SMART (of course! She got an award because she got the highest IP in her generation (angkatan?). She always give me some opinions and advices to do my work. She also lend me her work so I can learn from it.. THANKS!! ^^

2. I got a friend in my class. His name is Kevin Octavius. I knew that he lived near my house. Just a couple of blocks. This morning, my parents drove me to campus. And in the front of the campus, there was a man standing beside his car. My dad recognize him as his old and best friend. So my dad went to him and then talked a little. Here is the conversation :

Dad (D) : What are you doing in here?
Man (M) : I'm driving my son to the campus. u?
D : the same! (then my dad called me) here is my daughter. She is new here. At the department of architecture.
M: Wow. What a coincidence! I also have my son there too!
Then, a boy got out from the car. He is KEVIN! my classmate. Then,
D: Do you know him?
Me : of course! We are classmate. And he often sit behind me!
M: OW!!
D: That's good! He (the man) is my best friend. You two can depand on each other then.. *smiling*
Then, I went to the campus with Kevin and just laughed. Haha.

3. There was a 3 days study from our senior. It's called SKETARS. We are "forced" to do that. We learned about rendering (make a shadow, etc. ) and then learn how to draw things. In the end of the study, the seniors will choose the most dilligent student and the best one in each class. And from my class: it was ME!! it's so surprising! hahaha. And then I got a magazine made by them (IDR 45.000!!) and a cd (the previous UTS and UAS!!) Yei!

That's all I can say. There is actually so much to say. But I can't put it on words. ^^

enjoy life ^^
