Transporter 3

I watched this movie two days ago (if I’m not mistaken) . With Maria, Yan, and Brian. Poor Maria’s boyfriend couldn’t join us because he had to go to his math class or something.. Really, I enjoyed watching this movie. Because there are a lot of amazing cars!! Poorly there aren’t my favorite kind of car. But, no too bad. Audi and Mercedes. I suppose. They’re using a good skill of driving too, made the scene is really fun to watch. I can take my eyes out of the scene. I laughed a lot too. But, Indonesia is suck (or I should say to the “lembaga pengeditan film ato pengesahan film)! They skipped the “romantic” scene!! Arghhh,,, that’s really bad.. But, mostly, I really think that this is good to watch. Get 3 ½ from 5, which is mean GOOD.

This is the movie review :

To chart the differences between “Transporter 3” and its two predecessors is as pointless as trying to parse its flimsy plot. As in this B-movie franchise’s previous installments — the streamlined “The Transporter” and the somewhat bulked-up “Transporter 2” — that pretty bit of rough, Jason Statham, stars as Frank Martin, a taciturn hard-body for hire who, when not lolling around his swank Mediterranean bachelor pad or palling around with his police buddy (François Berléand), racks up kilometers ferrying valuables across borders and genre imperatives in his sleek ride.

THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL

It's all about Keanu Reeves of course,, that's the only reason I watched this movie,. But, it's really a pity that I didn't watch him smile!! WEkss.. that's so bad.. But, I enjoy the movie with one of my friend, Anne and also nje and vivi (but they sat in the different row -_-a) Watch this!!
Yipee!!

The old “Day,” made early in the atomic age, has long inspired this kind of laughter. It has also, in part because of its expressive, shadowy black-and-white cinematography, retained a measure of haunting, unsettling weirdness.

Any hope that the new “Day,” directed by Scott Derrickson from a script by David Scarpa, might also someday rise above its pulpy, corny, somber silliness rests mainly on the shoulders of Keanu Reeves. Those shoulders are perfect for filling out a dark, narrow suit, just as Mr. Reeves’s deadpan basso and permanently perplexed features make him an ideal Klaatu, as the space visitor is called. Klaatu’s job is to assist, calmly and methodically, in the extermination of the human race, a task he tries, with evident fatigue, to explain to his hysterical, violent would-be victims.

Only one will listen: Dr. Helen Benson, played with a bit too much ennui by Jennifer Connelly. Helen, an expert in astrobiology, is part of a team of scientists taken into government custody by force when a giant orb seems about to crash into the Earth. Instead it lands in Central Park, disgorging that giant metal Cyclops robot (a near replica of the one from the earlier movie) and poor Klaatu.

The secretary of defense (Kathy Bates, with Hillary Clinton’s demeanor and Sarah Palin’s hair) responds with military force, which only speeds the process of humanity’s annihilation and demonstrates that our executioners may have a point. We’re such a brutal, dumb, incorrigible life form that the only way the planet can survive is if we’re no longer on it. (In 1951 the case against us was mainly pacifist. Now the anti-militarism has a more urgent and explicit ecological dimension.) A metastasizing swarm of metal bugs — the best special effects in a movie that often looks cheap and bedraggled — is dispatched to eat us and everything we’ve made, or at least everything on the New Jersey Turnpike.

But wait, Helen pleads. We can change! To provide evidence of this transformative potential she takes Klaatu to see her mentor, Professor Barnhardt (John Cleese), a scientist who listens to Bach and was awarded a Nobel Prize for “altruistic biology.” Apparently this is the Swedish Academy’s euphemism for pimping: the good doctor’s advice to Helen about how to approach Klaatu is to “persuade him not with your reason, but with yourself.”

NIGHTS IN RODANTHE

I've watched this movie recently with some of my friends. And I don't know why but I do like this movie. Actually,, romance and drama is not my type of my movie which I want to watch, but I just watched it. I did this in Blitz Megaplex. I did beacuse this movie was the only one which is make me interesting, better than the other and It suit me (the time, i meant). Here is the review of the movie :

Adapted by Ann Peacock and John Romano from the Nicholas Sparks novel and directed by George C. Wolfe (the former producer of the Public Theater, who fared better with his HBO movie “Lackawanna Blues”), “Nights in Rodanthe” revolves around the unhappily married Adrienne (Ms. Lane), who leaves her two nauseating children with her husband to baby-sit a North Carolina coastal inn owned by a friend (Ms. Davis), who has gone off for weekend sex with a muscled bit player. A hurricane is a-coming and so is Paul (Mr. Gere), one of those lonely Jaguar-driving geniuses of the operating room. The hurricane hits, and the shutters bang open and shut, which would be funnier if this film didn’t insist that the only road to a woman’s happiness runs up her legs.

You know the rest: trembling lips, delicate lovemaking, pop-song montage. Ms. Lane and Mr. Gere smile bravely and fumble like teenagers but are defeated by the scripted clichés and lack of focused direction. Mr. Wolfe seems as uncomfortable with the material as his leads are, though it’s impossible to know if he’s uninterested in this romance or whether his disjointed storytelling is a result of post-production triage.

Btw, I've also read the book. the story is ssoooo kind of romantic. It also a little vulgar btw,, hehehe.. Btw, click here for the trailer.

MOVIE...

I don't know why,, but, recently, I watched movies with child actors.. I found it that they're so cute,, beside, the movie are really good. The stories and also the movies itself.. wkwkwk..

Am I being a lolicon? hihi .. XP

btw, I watched the movies at home of course,, the dvd movies.. I watched a lot since I have no activity for school and I reached home earlier this week..

Here are the movies I watched :

THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES

“The Spiderwick Chronicles,” adapted from books by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black, represents the latest such effort. It conjures a world of fanciful creatures — some benign, others hostile — and introduces into it a group of squabbling human siblings (played by Sarah Bolger and Freddie Highmore) who have moved into a spooky old house in the middle of nowhere, along with their newly divorced mother, Helen (Mary-Louise Parker).

A previous resident of the house was one Arthur Spiderwick (David Strathairn), a scholar of the invisible world of sprites and goblins and the author of an encyclopedic reference book on their ways. That book, locked away in a secret room, is coveted by Mulgarath, commander of a bloodthirsty monster crew, who wants to use Spiderwick’s lore to wipe out all the cute little elves and fairies, and the children as well.

Why? Well, just because. Mulgarath takes many different forms, the most frightening of which is surely the person of Nick Nolte. But his malevolence is less scary than routine, as is the anxious twittering of Thimbletack, a honey-eating house spirit (voiced by Martin Short), and the jokey gregariousness of Hogsqueal, a porcine fellow with the voice of a suddenly overexposed Seth Rogen. Joan Plowright also shows up briefly as a wise and witchy old lady who clears up a few mysteries and leaves a few more in her wake."

That's all I can say,, btw, If you want to watch the trailer,, click HERE

If you haven't watched it,, and you really like fantasy things.. you have to watch it.. really,, the stories is interesting and the graphic at the movie also good. you're not going to regret it.. Btw, if you paid attention carefully, you'd found that Freddie Highmore played Simon and Jared.. because in the story they're twins,, so he had to play two diffrent role all in one. ^^

and This is the onther one :

THE SEEKER : THE DARK IS RISING

The forces of Light and Dark are at it again in “The Seeker,” David L. Cunningham’s stilted fantasy about a pubescent lad charged with defeating evil and earning millions of dollars for an American movie studio. Let’s all try to recall where we’ve heard that before. On the eve of his 14th birthday, everything changes for Will Stanton (Alexander Ludwig), an American living in Britain with his extremely large family. (Naturally, Will is the seventh son of a seventh son, so the old-woman-who-lived-in-a-shoe vibe is essential, if distracting.) When darkening skies and a masked horseman (Christopher Eccleston) get between Will and his crush (Amelia Warner), he is dismayed to learn that he is really a warrior who must find six signs and release the Light. From where is anybody’s guess. Feebly assisted by a bunch of dodderers known appropriately as the Old Ones, Will braves a Viking war and 1,000 slithering snakes. Yet despite the creepiness of a scene featuring a pair of morphing mall security guards, John Hodge’s screenplay is frequently dreary and overly literal. Will’s Googling of “the light and the dark” is only the most risible example.

Btw, click HERE if you want to watched the trailer,. and then you have to look at how cute the boy's smile!! wkwkwk =P

LIVE IN or OUTBOND?

I don't know whether to say it's really fun or horrible there,,, But, mostly I enjoyed being there with all of my friends.. Beside,, The activities were not so bad.. Hehehe.. ^^ oh,, I have to say that this activities were held in Sukabumi by Bumi Mandiri Center.
Here are the activities :

The first day. There was not much thing to do. But the most fun activities that day were went to the lake to examined it and the activity at night,, When we went to the lake, we had to search animals so that we could examined whether the lake is clean or not, and the activity at night, we had to went to the rice field with our group.. I was really dark there,, I slipped there once. It was not my fault but one of my friends, Brian (or I call him "alay"). Actually, he was the one who slipped there, but because we have to "arm in arm" with each other in one group I have to hold his hand, so finally I slipped to (because I could not hold his body)... But, luckily, Steve in front of me, pull my hand so I don't have to fall and being dirty with the mud.. ^^ Btw, after all that activities that day we slept, But I couldn't sleep well.. I slept around 2 a.m and I didn't know why but I woke up at 4 a.m and couln't sleep again.. it made me so tired and sleepy.. -_-a

And the second day... That was the worst and also the best day.. It was worst because we have to planting rice (not really true) in the rice field.. I don't really care being dirty,, but the smell it made me feel horrible. Wuekksss.. And the weather was not really advocated too.. It was rainy, But, I do enjoy it,, even thought I really hate the smell of "pup" (u know it..XP).. And The most fun activity,, was playing in the lake!! Wew,, it was really fun!! we all played in the water (in one go to clean out dirty body). My best friends and me were gahtered together, and also play together,, It was really good. Thank godness that the water is clean and also cool.. It made me fresh!! After that,, we could also drank a hot ginger,, It made the body warm, But the bad thing was that somone (not one actually, two..) pushed me inadveretent and made me spill my drink out and it hit my foot,, Wew, It was really hot! That was bad.. (If I were cruel,, I reallt wanted to splash it back to whoever it was.. But thank god once more that I didn't do that) . Then after that there were activities.. But I don't remembered it so well.. But at night.. It was really funny.. Rosi and Pauline came to my room.. They said that their room was full of "animals" so they couldn't sleep there,, and they move on to my room.. Actually, my room was so small. It just could filled by three people (me, anne and nje) and with two more people,,, you know it was really thight.. but I didn't mind it.. That night I slept around 1 a.m (we all spent our time with the "stories" heheh ^^) and woke up at 2.30 and then slept again and woke up again.. Arghhh,, it was bad.. But i'm being used to that..

The last day (Finally!!) when I heard that the activities that day just about outbond,, It made me happy,, because I thinked that we don't have to being dirty,, But I was wrong. but not as bad as the second day.. We played "monkey bridge" ,"v-bridge", "flying fox" and "magic carpet". The game of monkey bridge was not so bad.. but made my hand so sick.. (till now,, I couldn't use my hand for something hard -_-a) and the flying fox was the most enjoyable game.. hehe.. And after all that activities, we were packed to go home.. the day was over,, I think that time was so fast, haha.. ^^
On the way home.. in the bus,, I nauseated.. i felt horrible.. So I just slept. The schedule said that we would reach school around 6 p.m. but you know what? At 6 p.m we were still in Bogor. stucked because of the traffic jam.. And it was good that I felt better.. So I could make fun with my friends and also could annoyed the couple who sat beside me ( Maria n Tope, of course.. hehe ^^V).

That's all.. That was my experience.. Hope you could enjoy it the same way like I did!! Hahaha.. Maybe my friends and I should make a plan about doing something together.. hehe,,
